Production House Delays Thunderbolts And Wonder Man’s Release Due To Writers’ Strike

Marvel’s production for the feature film Thunderbolts was confirmed in July 2022. The filming was expected to begin Alaska in early 2023. The Marvel fans were looking forward to this action packed movie with its amazing cast. However, the fans will have to wait eagerly as the cast and crew have been told to hold off.

On the other hand, the live-action Wonder Man series was first announced as entering development in June 22 after Cretton made a deal with Marvel Studios to develop TV projects for Disney+ which was set to make billions of dollars. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, a familiar face in the DC universe from his roles in Watchmen and the Aquaman movies, will be the lead actor. Hence, It created much hype among the fans. The production originally was brought into action in April 2023.

What Are The Disney+ And Marvel’s Future Plans Regarding The Change Of Events?

Marvel Studios and Disney+ are facing complications inevitably as The Writers Guild of America (WGA)/AMPTP writers unite on a strike. This outraged the fan base as they were waiting eagerly for these highly anticipated movie and series. The production of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II-starring Wonder Man series and the feature adventure film ‘thunderbolts’ has officially come to a halt. With billion dollar investments, Marvel and Disney+ were impacted heavily due to the strike.

Undoubtfully, the production on both the series, Wonder Man and the film Thunderbolts, will resume just as the writers’ strike is resolved on priority, as claimed by the inside sources. Furthermore, it is stated that the thunderbolts will be released in cinemas on 26th July 2024. However, the trailers of both the series are yet to be released. It is confirmed that along with Abdul Mateen II, Wonder Man also casts, Lauren Glazier, Demetrius Grosse and Sir Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery. These events are making an aroma of suspense among the fans with increasing talks about it on various social media platforms.

Fans are raising questions about the presence of Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, as the character has old ties to the Thunderbolts but there are no hints of his untold involvement. This mystery remains hanging in the air even after an interview of the actor.
