Demi Lovato Has Officially Parted Ways With Talent Manager Scooter Braun

According to Billboard, Demi Lovato has chosen to terminate her partnership with long-time manager, Scooter Braun. The news outlet claims that the two parted ways last month and that Lovato is searching for new management as she prepares to release her newest album, Revamped, on Sept 15. Representation for both the singer and manager have yet to respond to THR’s requests for comment.

No reason has been currently disclosed and the two have avoided commenting on this situation entirely. However, under Braun’s management, Lovato recorded Dancing With the Devil… the Art of Starting Over in 2021 and Holy Fvck in 2022 and both records struggled heavily to land on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Phil McIntyre of PhilyMack was her prior manager, and the albums she released under his supervision were instant hits, including her Grammy nomination in 2015 for Confident. Keeping all this in mind, fans have been speculating that the reason Demi Lovato chose to let go of Braun was because the singer hadn’t seen much musical success while working with him, and she’s not the only performer to split from him recently. After her separation from Braun, the first project she intends to release is Revamped, essentially rock version re-recordings of 10 tracks from her previous albums.

“With ‘Revamped,’ I wanted to pay homage to the songs that resonated the most with fans and played a big role in my career by breathing an exciting new life into them. Creating this project has been incredibly fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way… I can’t wait for everyone to hear more!”

What other musicians are under Scooter Braun’s management?

Scooter Braun, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, serves as a manager to many well-known artists. Justin Bieber, Ozuna, Dan + Shay, David Guetta, Black Eyed Peas, Ava Max, and Carly Rae Jepsen are included in that list. J Balvin recently parted ways with Braun in May, after signing with the him around 2019. Recently, Puck News published a report claiming that Bieber had separated from Braun as well, but the story was soon refuted by Braun’s team. Ariana Grande, who has been with the manager since 2013, just now has also reportedly followed Demi’s lead and cut ties with Braun. He also had multiple conflicts with another ex-client, Taylor Swift, who also ended up turning her back on the promoter. Tough times.
