Following in the footsteps of her older sister, Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears is set to compete on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars. The actress and singer will be paired with professional dancer Alan Bersten. She also sent out a message of solidarity with the guilds and revealed her decision to donate to the strikers.

The actress, who played in Paramount+’s Zoey 102 and Season 3 of Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias this year, joins previously announced competitors Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and “The Bachelorette” lead Charity Lawson in the competition. The entire cast is set to be revealed on Wednesday. About the ongoing strike, Jamie Lynn Spears said on GMA: “I have this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work. I figured I’ll do this and I will donate my weekly salary to SAG, WGA and just give back to them at a time where they can’t even give to themselves.”

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 32: Everything we know

Last season of Dancing with the Stars, produced by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, was available on Disney+. This year, it will return on ABC. Tyra Banks will be replaced by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough as co-hosts while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough are among the judges. Season 32 of this highly-anticipated show will debut on ABC, Tuesday, September 28th, with an extra episode. Throughout the season, it will air on Tuesdays and will be simulcast live on Disney+ before being accessible to view the following day on Hulu.
