Jeezy has submitted a petition to divorce TV personality Jeannie Mai Jenkins after two years of marriage. The rapper, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, filed for this case in Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County on Thursday.

According to the legal documents submitted, the rapper Jeezy reported that his marriage to TV personality Jeannie Mai had gone beyond repair. He believes there is “no hope for reconciliation.” The couple welcomed a daughter in January 2021, and Jeezy is asking for joint legal custody of her per the filing, which also requested that the prenuptial agreement the couple had signed be enforced. Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s representatives have not yet replied to requests for comment.

Though the two had been dating secretly since crossing paths on the set of The Real in late 2018, they kept their relationship private until August 2019, when Mai attended Jeezy’s inaugural SnoBall Gala to raise funds for his non-profit, Street Dreamz. Prior to their beautiful and lavish 2021 wedding, the couple spent their time admired one another’s careers and traditions. Then, they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Monaco, in January 2022. However, the couple have since hit a rough patch and after less than two years of marriage they are filing for divorce.
