Justified: New Primeval Will Be Returning To FX With A Mostly New Cast

When the FX series ‘Justified’ first aired in 2010, many people fell in love with it. While it received critical acclaim, it did not become as popular as its quality would have warranted. It aired for five years before ending in 2015. Timothy Olyphant played the main character, and audiences adored him in the slightly Western role. That is why, when it was announced that this show would be given new life, fans were more than ecstatic. Yes, you read that correctly: this show will return to FX with a new season.

Raylan Givens, played by Timothy Olyphant, will return to the show.

While fans would have preferred to see the original cast reunited, we will still be able to see Timothy in the title role of Raylan Givens, which is more than we could have hoped for. Not only that, but his real-life daughter will play the role of his on-screen daughter Willa Givens, which is exciting. We’ve also seen a trailer, and while it doesn’t reveal much about the plot, we do know that the main antagonist will be played by Boyd Holbrook.

Clement, the character played by Boyd, appears to be a sociopath hellbent on making a fool of the justice system. The most significant difference this season will be that the show will take place in Detroit rather than Kentucky. This change will not only provide a change of scenery but will also bring something fresh to the new season.

There are many more characters in the show, and they will be played by Aunjanue Ellis as Carolyn Wilder, Clement’s partner, and Adelaide Clemens as Sandy, Clement’s girlfriend, respectively. Marin Ireland, Victor Williams, and Norbert Leo Butz will play Detroit PD officers.

Justified: City Primeval is set to start airing on FX on July 18th.
