American Idol’s 22nd season, which includes six seasons on ABC, will kick off auditions on August 2. The live virtual nationwide search for contestants will take place, and the show is set to return in spring 2024.
The show is produced by Fremantle and 19 Entertainment, a part of Sony Pictures Television, with Megan Wolflick as the showrunner and executive producers including Jennifer Mullin from Fremantle, and Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman from 19 Entertainment. Fremantle handles the series distribution worldwide.
