Kristin Chenoweth is now a newly-wed! She and musician Josh Bryant exchanged vows on a romantic Saturday in Dallas. The news comes two years after their shocking engagement announcement in October of 2021. Here’s what we know about the ceremony and an overview of the couple’s relationship:

Chenoweth’s walk down the aisle was completed with a unique Pamella Roland gown featuring a sheer nude and pink overlay with tiny pearl flowers on the bodice. “I didn’t want to wear white,” she explained. “Simple and elegant. I never thought I would get married, so I went non-traditional with the gown.” Afterwards, for the reception, she changed into an equally unconventional pink cocktail dress also designed by Roland with a large bow in the front. The groom, along with his father and father-in-law, wore Michael Strahan™ suits from Men’s Wearhouse for the special event. Officiated by a friend, Chenoweth also revealed that the couple exchanged “a form of traditional vows,” after which she laughed and added, “But I am not saying ‘obey!’”

The couple incorporated their Christian faith into the ceremony music by opting for a rendition of ‘The Prayer,’ performed by Marissa Rosen, Crystal Monee Hall, Nikki Kimbrough, and Melinda Doolittle, arranged and accompanied by Chenoweth’s music director Mary-Mitchell Campbell. The decorations for the nuptials, planned by Crystal Frasier Weddings, were a romantic blend of creamy, peach, and pink hues and also ended up incorporating Calla lilies, garden roses, majolica, spray roses, hydrangea, ranunculus, veronica, mums, and other seasonal flora into the gorgeous space.

The pair’s love story began at a 2016 wedding for the Schmigadoon! star’s niece, where Josh Bryant’s band, Backroad Anthem, performed. The romance continued when the couple connected at another wedding – this time, her nephew’s – two years later. During the Covid-19 pandemic, they grew even closer after the passing of one of Chenoweth’s close friends. “I fell apart,” she explains. “He’s my rock.” The duo got engaged in October 2021 and now reside in both New York and Nashville.
