Singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, recently acknowledged her latest achievement on Sunday by publicly thanking her fans for helping her break yet another record. Her 2019 hit Cruel Summer has now surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, which the music streaming service originally announced on X. The track is featured on her 2019 album Lover and has become a part of Spotify’s 1 billion-stream playlist, which has a total of 468 songs only.

Following her achievement of Cruel Summer’s 1 billion-stream milestone on Spotify, Taylor Swift can add another accomplishment to her growing repertoire. The star’s latest song Anti-Hero, from her album Midnights, has also hit the 1 billion-stream mark on the music streaming service. This comes just days after Swift set another record with the ticket pre-sales for her highly anticipated concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, which collected $26 million for AMC on the first day after tickets went on sale. Swift has also become the first female artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners, coming only behind The Weeknd overall!

Celebrating the huge milestone, the singer acknowledged the achievement on her Instagram Story on Sunday morning, saying: “Summer just got a BILLION TIMES CRUELER.” The pop superstar also expressed gratitude for her loyal fans, writing, “Love you all so much for this.” as Swifties around the world toast the occasion.
