Primetime Emmy Awards are the television equivalent of the Academy Awards \u2013 basically the Oscars for TV. And like their film counterparts, they award excellence in TV shows and actors in the States.<\/p>\n

The dystopian series \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d and political comedy \u201cVeep\u201d won the top prizes at the Emmy awards. \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d was also a big winner on a night dominated by jokes on and about U.S. President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
