For some it\u2019s a rite of passage; for others, it\u2019s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; and for the truly dedicated, it\u2019s an annual pilgrimage to experience classic rides, attractions, and dining delights while also seeing what shiny new things the Disney Parks teams have rolled out.<\/p>\n Even if you\u2019ve visited Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios in the last year or so, there are some game-changing updates coming to the park that you\u2019re going to want to include on your next Walt Disney World vacation. So let\u2019s take a look at 10 reasons to add Hollywood Studios to your plans, including existing attractions, brand-new rides, and mind-blowing expansions due to arrive in the very near future. Check them out below!<\/p>\n Source: CD<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n Among the many Hollywood-inspired attractions that exist in the park, there are many others like<\/p>\n the \u201cRock \u2018n\u2019 Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith\u201d (which is still the fastest way to get through LA\u2019s freeways) and the film\/live-action show,\u00a0\u201cMuppet*Vision 3D.\u201d<\/p>\n If it\u2019s character interactions you\u2019re after, you and the little ones can meet\u00a0Cruz Ramirez from Disney\/Pixar\u2019s\u00a0Cars 3<\/strong><\/em>, Buzz and Woody from\u00a0Toy Story<\/em>, plus Olaf from\u00a0Frozen<\/strong><\/em>. And if you still can\u2019t \u201cLet It Go\u201d, I have good news: the fan-favorite movie has a live-action sing-along retelling at the park!<\/p>\n Oh, and if it\u2019s\u00a0Star Wars<\/em> stuff you want:<\/p>\n That\u2019s all well and good, but what about the new stuff?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Source: CD<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n As the Disney Parks blog sums it up, in Hollywood Studio\u2019s upcoming attraction \u201cMickey and Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway\u201d,\u00a0guests will \u201cstep\u00a0through<\/em>\u00a0the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before.\u201d Riders will step inside\u00a0the wild, wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short\u2013which is the inspiration for this attraction, after all\u2013where you\u00a0get to be the star.\u00a0Expect the unexpected with\u00a0\u201csurprising twists and turns, dazzling visual effects and mind-boggling transformations that happen before your very eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n Source: CD<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n Those Mickey Mouse Cartoon Shorts can be seen on the Disney Channel, and the folks at Disney Television Animation who bring them to life have also partnered with the park on this attraction. It\u2019s also the first Mickey Mouse-themed park attraction, if you can believe it! Other cool ride-related trivia is the fact that\u00a0\u201cMickey and Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway\u201d will feature a new story and a new singable attraction theme song, plus glasses-free 3D, or \u201c2 1\/2 D.\u201d Here\u2019s what Walt Disney Imagineer Kevin Rafferty<\/strong>\u00a0had to say about the new technologies\u00a0that will be on display:<\/p>\n \u201cThis is one of the boldest\u2026most impossible things I\u2019ve ever worked on in almost 40 years of being an Imagineer. And you know what? That\u2019s what I love about it. Well, that, and Mickey. This is not going to be a small attraction, it\u2019s going to be game-changing.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Unfortunately, with the addition of some new attractions, Disney has to make room by closing down some classics. So since the new home of \u201cMickey and Minnie\u2019s Runaway Railway\u201d will be at the Chinese Theater in Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios, the long-running attraction \u201cThe Great Movie Ride\u201d presented by Turner Classic Movies has ended its run.<\/p>\n Source: CD<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n This year, Disney\u2019s Hollywood Studios will welcome kids (and kids at heart) to the brand new \u201cToy Story Land\u201d, described as \u201ca whimsical place located in the larger-than-life setting of Andy\u2019s backyard.\u201d The new area lets guests discover what it\u2019s like to be a toy though all-new attractions, themed dining options, and more, all inspired by the award-winning\u00a0Toy Story<\/em> franchise. Expect to be shrunk down to size since you\u2019ll find yourself in a rather colorful section of the park populated with giant game board pieces, building blocks, and fan-favorite characters including Woody, Buzz, Slinky Dog, Rex, the Aliens and more.<\/p>\n So what is there to do in \u201cToy Story Land\u201d? Well one attraction should be familiar to fans of the park already. That\u2019s the super-fun (and a little bit addictive) game, \u201cToy Story Mania\u201d, where you compete against fellow guests to achieve a high score by hitting all sorts of targets scattered throughout Andy\u2019s room.
