Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-prizefighter has already made his mark on the world as a social media sensation and a professional boxer. Now, it seems like crossing over into Hollywood is the next move for him. He is set to star in a unnamed (as of current) action flick which is backed by Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street. Apparently, he will play a small-town youth rising to international fame as a professional boxer. Having announced it on Tuesday, he’s got his fans heavily excited by the news.
Who are the behind-the-screens team for this film?
Co-founders of the Most Valuable Promotions, a boxing promotions company, Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul himself will be the executive producers on this project. The film will also be produced by Wonder Street’s Craig Baumgarten and Mandalay’s David Zelon. Bidarian praises Paul unrelentlessly in a statement claiming that he is a “dynamic and multi-talented superstar who has captured the attention of millions” with his personality, and specific approach to life. Bidarian also calls him a “true force to be reckoned with” owing to his “fearless attitude and unwavering determination”.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street on my first feature film project…As someone who has always believed in pushing boundaries and taking risks, I can’t wait to bring this unique story and my brand to the big screen. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my career.”
