‘Aquaman’ Director James Wan Out of Hospital & “On The Mend”, Shares Health Update

According to a letter posted on his social media, James Wan who is an Australian filmmaker and has worked on projects such as Aquaman and Insidious, is recovering from a recent health scare and hospital stay. The statement that was posted on his Instagram Stories explained that the 46-year-old director was sent to the hospital for an unidentified health condition. It was unclear who authored the letter in the post, but it was accompanied with a picture of Wan in a hospital bed with an evident IV in his right arm.

James Wan Instagram Stories stated: “It has been an extremely rough and scary couple of days and nights. You never want to rush to ER in the middle of the night and then have to stay in the hospital. Cedars Sinai is truly the best!! The best doctors, nurses, technicians, just the most wonderful people. James is safe now and on the mend.” The identity of the person who penned this statement is still unknown, but screenshots of this post have been circulating on social media rapidly. The post also added an official mention to Cedars Senai, writing, “Thank you @cedar_sinai_cedar_sinai for taking good care of me.”

What is James Wan’s most recent project?

Wan had currently been preparing for the release of Warner Bros.’ Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom prior to his hospitalization. The film stars Jason Momoa as the titular DC superhero this time as well and finished a round of retakes in June. Announced to enter cinemas on December 20, it is Wan’s follow-up to his 2018 smash Aquaman, which grossed more than $1 billion worldwide.
