The classic movie, ‘The Incredible Hulk’, was released by Universal 15 years ago and has finally made it to Disney+ after Universal gave up the rights to Marvel Studios! It will stream on the platform on June 16, which was announced by Disney+ on Thursday. Aside from this, more notable films are on their way.
What is ‘The Incredible Hulk’ about and will the characters reappear again?
While we all know Mark Ruffalo as the super-physicist Bruce Banner/ Hulk in the modern MCU, the character was actually originated by Edward Norton fifteen years ago in ‘The Incredible Hulk’. Directed by the incredible Louis Leterrier, the film follows the origin story of Hulk in which Bruce Banner gets exposed to gamma radiation that transforms him into the raging green monster. The stars of ‘Incredible Hulk’, Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson, are returning to the MCU in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ which is set to debut next year on July 26. Harrison Ford will also make an appearance as Thunderbolt Ross, the villain in the original Hulk movie that was played by the late William Hurt.

After Sony’s “Spider-Man” films were added to the streamer on April 21, ‘Incredible Hulk’ was sure to follow. The Tobey Maguire trilogy of ‘Spider-Man,’ ‘Spider-Man 2’ and ‘Spider-Man 3’ were added on April 21. After this, Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ was added to the platform, while Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and Tom Hardy’s ‘Venom’ later joined on May 12. Aside from this new Hulk movie, ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ has also debuted at the streamer last year, following Jennifer Walters who is exposed to the blood of her cousin, Bruce Banner, and is turned into a green crime-fighting entity called ‘She-Hulk’.
