Utilidors are not as uninteresting as they seem.
Turns out a lot of interesting happen down there. While it is true they were built so you wouldn’t see cast members wandering about in the wrong area. The utilidors are important for a lot of other things.
So that is why we have compiled some of the most terrific facts about the Underground utilidors that will blow your mind.
#1 Surprisingly Utilidors are not actually ‘Underground’ but on the ground floor.
#2 There are backstage tours where you are able to visit them.
#3 The doors of the entrance or exits to Utilidors are hidden in plain sight.
#4 Regular music is played down there rather than Disney tunes.
#5 The concept of Utilidor was borrowed from Walt Disney’s plan for EPCOT.
#6 The walls have a color system to guide the cast members.
#7 Cast memebers come down here to ‘refresh’ their lanyards.
#8 The Utildors have more than 390,000 square feet.
#9 Utilidors also has the command center who are responsible for running everything smoothly.
