Director Paul King shared in an interview the indulgence of chocolate on the set of ‘Wonka.’ He humorously mentioned his desire to shed the 50 pounds gained during production before the movie’s December release.
In one scene, a massive tub of warm chocolate was prepared for Timothée Chalamet’s Willy Wonka and Calah Lane’s character Noodle to immerse themselves in, adding to the chocolate-filled atmosphere on set.

Timothée Chalamet Lands ‘Wonka’ Role Without Audition
Director Paul King shared in an interview with Rolling Stone that Timothée Chalamet was offered the role of Wonka without the need for an audition. King explained that he had Chalamet in mind from the start, considering him the perfect fit for the character.
Despite not having to audition, Chalamet’s musical abilities were assessed to ensure his suitability for the role. King was impressed by Chalamet’s talent and was particularly struck by his high school musical performances, which showcased his singing and dancing skills.
