New Season: More Details On ‘Emily In Paris’ Season 4!

An American romantic comedy-drama TV series, ‘Emily In Paris’ stars Lilly Collins as a marketing executive Emily Cooper who is hired to provide an “American perspective” at a marketing firm in Paris. It was created by Darren Star for Netflix. After season 3 sold wide and dominated Netflix charts last year, season 4 was sure to follow. Here are all the updates we have about the next season in this series:

What can we expect from season 4 of ‘Emily In Paris’?

One thing’s for sure, we can expect the whole cast to return again for this season, aside from Madeline (played by Kate Walsh) as her character is presumably still back in Chicago. Netflix’s TUDUM event on June 17 revealed a lot about the next season with Lilly Collins adding that, “It’s safe to say we ended on a dramatic note last season, and surprise, it does not end there. So much happened that we need answers to…” She then goes on to say that there will be more excitement and drama this season. Gabriel, Emily and Camille will have to deal with the fallout of Camille’s pregnancy and her affair with Sofia.

Actress Camille Razat who plays Camille in the show, says she sincerely hopes that Emily and Camille can stay friends despite the bombshells delivered with the ending of season three. Speculation suggested that the last season was also the final run for Alfie, but Darren has disputed that by commenting to EW that Alfie is not “out of the picture” and could “very possibly” get a new love interest.

“I wish I could tell you more, but you’ll just have to wait to find out. What I can tell you is that we have more fun, more fashion, and, of course, more drama for you all. Emily is going to have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs. And while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”

When will the new season for ‘Emily In Paris’ come out?

A release date has not yet been confirmed due to the ongoing Writers Guild Association strike which has impacted so many shows and movies and held back production for them. Aside from that, showrunner Darren Star also claims not having begun writing season 4 just yet. “We really don’t jump in and start thinking about it until after the first of the year. But you know, there’s a lot of ideas that I feel like I have from this season,” he told EW. “There’s a lot of forks in the road for all these characters at the end of season 3 and a lot of complications for everyone. So I think that with season 4, we have a lot of questions to answer.”
