Not everyone is constantly listening to music. While we, the younger generation, usually have our headphones or speakers on full blast while working or studying, the same cannot be said for everyone else. It’s still surprising that Diane Keaton had no idea who Justin Bieber was before starring in his emotional ‘Ghost’ music video in 2021.
While not everyone is a fan of Justin Bieber, most people have heard of him since his first song was released, though his popularity has waned in recent years. So Keaton was as taken aback as the audience when they first saw her in the titular music video.
Diane Keaten opened up about her time working with Justin Bieber.
In a recent interview, Diane had a lot to say about the music video and Justin, and it was all excellent. She clearly had a great time working with him and couldn’t stop praising him.
I couldn’t believe it. This was like one of those things that happens [and] you’re going, ‘I’m what?’. And of course it was so much fun. It couldn’t have been more fun. I can’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. I mean, I didn’t even know him. I knew the music a little and I liked the music, but I wasn’t a fan exactly — so you know, I don’t have music pouring in my ears all the time.
I don’t know why me. I still don’t understand. I don’t know how, but I loved it. He’s a great young man. Gorgeous and genius. It was one of the most pleasant experiences of my life. He’s the greatest guy. Honest to God, he’s really special.
