The movie “Gladiator” explores themes of honor, loyalty, justice and is considered a classic, earning numerous accolades.

‘Gladiator’ Sequel Stunt Leaves Crew Members Hurt

During the filming of a planned stunt sequence for the sequel to “Gladiator” on the Morocco set, an unfortunate accident took place, resulting in injuries to several crew members. Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the film, confirmed that the injured crew members received prompt medical attention from the on-site safety and medical teams.

Fortunately, all affected individuals are currently in stable condition and receiving ongoing treatment. Out of the six people who required treatment, four remain hospitalized, receiving care for burn injuries, while the remaining two were treated locally and subsequently discharged.

It is important to note that no cast members were harmed during the incident, which occurred towards the end of the shooting day.

“The well-being of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us, and we have strict health and safety procedures in place on all our productions. We will continue monitoring the situation and taking all necessary precautions as we resume production.”

Star-Studded Cast And Director Return For ‘Gladiator’ Sequel

The sequel to the 2000 epic film has assembled a star-studded cast including Oscar-nominee Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, and Connie Nielsen. Returning to the director’s chair is Ridley Scott, who helmed the first installment, while the script is written by David Scarpa.

Gladiator became one of the highest-grossing movies of its release year, winning the coveted Best Picture Oscar and a Best Actor award for Russell Crowe.

The sequel will hit the big screen on November 22, 2024 leaving fans eagerly on the edge of their seats!
