Liam Payne Devastated To Have To Cancel South American Tour Due To ‘Serious’ Health Issues

Unfortunately, singer Liam Payne just revealed that he will be rescheduling his upcoming South America tour. The One Direction member was scheduled to embark on the trip, starting in Lima, Peru, on the first of September but a serious illness led to the musician’s hospitalization, compelling him to share the news through social media.

Via Instagram, the award-winning musician Liam Payne, broke the devastating news that he had been hospitalized for a serious kidney infection. In a video uploaded onto Instagram, the musician expressed the difficulty of canceling the tour and sharing this news with his fans. “We started rehearsals, and I’ve just been advised now is really not the right time to be out on the road trying to recover from this,” he stated. In the caption for the video, Payne commented that what he’s going through is “something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover. I was beyond excited to come play for you guys.”

Originally scheduled to begin in Lima, Peru, on September 1st, Liam Payne’s LP1-supported tour was set to span from that date to September 12th in Mexico City. Stops were planned for São Paulo, Brazil; Bogotá, Columbia; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the same post, the artist said he plans to refund tickets for all the fans who bought them and hopes to have more details soon. “Thanks as always for the love and support, and look forward to seeing you soon,” he concluded.

“I have the best people around me at home, trying to help me recover as we speak, but yeah, we’re gonna have to reschedule the tour. … Hopefully, we’ll put on an even bigger, better show. Thank you. I’m sorry.”
