Release Date for ‘Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim’ Pushed to December 2024

Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Delayed by Warner Bros.

The release of “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” has been delayed. Initially set for April 12, 2024, it will now hit theaters on December 13 of the same year. This shift resulted from a domino effect of scheduling changes within Warner Bros. that began with Legendary Entertainment moving “Dune: Part Two” to March 15, 2024.

Consequently, other films, like “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire,” had to adjust their dates. The actor’s strike further complicated matters. Now, “War of the Rohirrim” will contend with Sony’s “The Karate Kid” reboot in December 2024.
