Pete Davidson Has Been Charged With Reckless Driving After Crashing Into A House With His Girlfriend

Pete Davidson, the SNL star, comedian, writer and actor, has finally been formally charged for an incident that occurred three months ago when he allegedly drove into a private residence in Beverly Hills with his girlfriend in the back seat. Here’s what we know:

What are the details of Pete Davidsons driving incident?

Davidson was charged with one count of reckless driving on Friday by the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, somewhere around 3 months after the crash. The authorities didn’t believe there were any drugs or alcohol playing a factor in the crash and ended up not arresting Pete at the time. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Pete and Chase Sui Wonders were involved in the crash on March 4 around 11pm. Pete was reportedly behind the wheel of a Mercedes and allegedly driving fast through a residential street when he lost control and crashed into the private home, slightly “traumatizing” the owners 16 year old daughter. The homeowner does not plan to slap a lawsuit on the SNL alum and says he’s got “no beef with Pete” according to TMZ. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but possible punishment could be up to 90 days in jail, a $1000 fine and a knock on Davidson’s license.

“Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences. In 2022, traffic fatalities in Los Angeles have reached the highest levels seen in 20 years. This is an alarming trend that we cannot ignore. As a result, it’s crucial that we take all allegations of reckless driving seriously and hold those responsible accountable.”
