While Facing 91 Felony Counts, Donald Trump Asks Fox News To Stop Using Photos Where He Looks “Orange” & “Big”

Looks like former President Donald Trump isn’t so thrilled about how he’s being portrayed on Fox News. Trump complains that the media outlet is using unflattering pictures of him, making him look extra heavy and especially orange. In the same post, he mentioned some polls that apparently show him winning against President Joe Biden (we’ll debunk that in a second), all while standing firm on his stance to skip the Aug 23 debate. It seems that the former president cares more about his perceived “orange-ness” than the looming 91 felony count and a potential combined sentence of 700 years in prison.

What has the ex-POTUS said about Fox News, the Aug debate and opinion polls?

On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Why doesn’t Fox and Friends show all of the Polls where I am beating Biden, by a lot. They just won’t do it! Also, they purposely show the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big ‘orange’ one with my chin pulled way back. They think they are getting away with something, they’re not. Just like 2016 all over again… And then they want me to debate!”

In reality, Real Clear Politics reports that every recent opinion poll shows Biden defeating Trump in a potential 2024 matchup, excluding one Messenger/Harris survey from last month. The latest poll is from Fox News itself, where Biden leads Trump by 3 points. Aside from this, by “debate,” he means his unwillingness to attend the first Republican primary debate where he’s leading the GOP primary polls. The ex-President is (perhaps rightfully) being called “scared” to debate for fear of losing his position at the Aug 23 event.

What is Truth Social?

Truth Social is a social media platform that was created by Trump himself as an alternative to traditional social media sites. The platform markets itself as a “free speech haven” where users can express their thoughts and ideas without fear of censorship and bans. However, the app has also faced intense criticism for allowing the spread of misinformation, hate speech, and other harmful content to flourish on its platform. In addition, Truth Social has also been plagued by technical issues and low user engagement since its launch, already making it a controversial and unpopular platform online.
