Security Call Out: What happened at Adele’s Las Vegas Show

On Saturday night at her show in Las Vegas, the Hello singer brought the concert to a halt to support a fan in the audience she felt was being “bothered” by security. Multiple videos of the incident show the singer interrupting her performance of Water Under the Bridge to address the situation with her security. At the Caesars Palace show, Adele questioned security saying. “What is going on there with that young fan who’s been bothered so much, since I came on, for standing up? What’s going on with him?”

It took the celebrity a moment to get the attention of the fan she was actually addressing as there was a lot of confusion as to who she was referring to: “Yes, you, with your hand up, yes you! Put your hand up. You, no you, yes, you with the stick in your hand. Yes, him.” Talking to the guard, Adele continued, “What are you doing? Why are you all bothering him? Can you leave him alone, please?” Now addressing the fan directly the singer added, “They won’t bother you anymore, darling. You enjoy the show” while reprimanding security again. “Leave him alone.” She then spoke to the rest of the audience before restarting the song for the fans.

“Sorry, guys. He’s been bothered the whole show by security and other people sitting behind him. He’s here to have fun. All of you are here to have fun.”

Adele’s heartwarming move at her Las Vegas concert was reminiscent of a similar incident that took place at one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour performances. During Swift’s performance of “Bad Blood” a few months ago in Philadelphia, security was called out for bothering a fan in the crowd. The singer yelled out to defend the concertgoer, shouting “She’s fine!” and “She wasn’t doing anything!” at the security guards without stopping her song.
