Eric Andre: The Most “Incompetent Talk Show Host” Back For Season 6!

‘The Eric Andre Show’ premiered on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim back in 2012 and has released over 50 episodes, not including multiple specials like ‘The Eric Andre New Year’s Eve Spooktacular’. It is a parody of late-night talk shows with a more satirical and comedic twist, incorporating crazy skits and huge pranks along with celebrity interviews. It apparently came to an end at season 5, but now Eric Andre has announced bringing it back for another season on Adult Swim.

Why did Eric Andre renew this show for another season?

The last episode premiered by this show was in 2020 and since then fans have been awaiting comments on whether this show would be continued. The show’s host Eric Andre has commented upon his ‘blunt’ reason for coming back for another season this year. In 2021, he starred in a film titled ‘Bad Trip’ which sat well with critics and major audiences but failed to make him any money, so he decided to renew the show while also hinting that it was more than financial problems that got him back on set.

“I was going to end the show after five seasons and then I didn’t make any money on Bad Trip. Why permanently close the door on a show where I have full creative freedom? It’s not even my corporate overlords. It’s superstition. So, I’ll tell you when the time is right.”
