Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears’ younger actor sister, described meeting with her Pacific Coast Academy crew for the Zoey 102 reunion film as a “surreal” event. During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, which was released online Thursday, the actress discussed how the new film came to be, saying it was a “pinch-me moment a lot of times.” Spears, who starred as Zoey Brooks on the hit Nickelodeon program Zoey 101 from 2005 to 2008, had a lot to say about the experience of filming the sequel movie, thanking her fans for their support while also hyping it up.

During a recent interview with Entertainment Online, Spears commented on her experience creating the movie and determination into making the film a reality – saying, “It’s something we’ve worked on really hard for years to get, being patient to make sure it’s right, putting the right things in place. And then it’s like a dream come true. It’s this thing you’ve been talking about and working on and trying to bring to life.” Spears then added that it was like a dream come true, with the actress not believing the scenario was real until she actually began filming: “The first day I walked on set, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we really did it. We’re here, we’re doing it,’ so it is surreal.”
The actress stated that she has always wished to return to her role, which was such a big part of her life. “It’s one of those things that I wasn’t sure if it could ever happen,” she mentioned. “But I always dreamed of being able to do it and see where she is.” Jamie also commented to the outlet that she doesn’t just appreciate the actors and crew for making the reunion movie a reality; she also credits the fans, adding that the reunion film was definitely “worth the wait” and that she believes that Zoey fans are going to love this project.
“The fans are the only reason we got to do it the first time and they’re definitely the only reason we get to do it the second time. After that [first reunion] was when we really started saying, ‘We need to hurry up and get this done.’ So we worked hard and finally brought it to life and it’s all because of the fans.”

What is ‘Zoey 102’ about?
The sequel to the successful Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, Zoey 102 sees Zoey (Jamie Spears) and some of her fellow PCA grads reuniting for Quinn (played by Erin Sanders) and Logan’s (Matthew Underwood) wedding. Sean Flynn, Christopher Massey, and Abby Wilde again play Chase, Michael, and Stacey, respectively with the reunion film coming out July 27 on Paramount+.
