Red Dead Redemption Might Be Getting A Remake, ‘Credible Sources’ Claim

Red Dead Redemption was a game that cemented Rockstar’s place in many people’s hearts. While GTA sequels have been in the works for quite some time, not everyone was into open-world modern mayhem and crude language. People desired a game that combined the best elements of GTA while also taking place in a Western setting. After all, who doesn’t want to play a Western revenge story?

That is why, even though we did get a worthy sequel, RDR is still beloved by many. However, it has been a decade since the original game was released, and many people believe it is time for a remaster or remake.

Red Dead Redemption was expected to be remastered.

While we did hear about a remake last year, it was quickly quashed, and it was almost certain that we would be getting a remaster instead. That quickly changed after some ‘credible sources’ revealed some details about the highly anticipated remake. The RDR2 engine will apparently be used to remake the old game. Not only that, but these people have previously provided accurate information about GTA leaks, so there is a 90% chance that this leak is also accurate.

Not only that, but former IGN editor Colin Moriarty stated on a podcast that he believes a remake is in the works, so fans should keep their fingers crossed for an official announcement soon.

While we don’t know much about this new remake, we are concerned, especially given Rockstar’s history and how they treated their old IP’s. So, if they are going to remake RDR, they must ensure that it is not a buggy mess. For the time being, all we know is that the remake will be officially announced in August, so here’s hoping.
