The Rock Returning As Hobbs For Fast X Could Mean Big Things For The Future Of The Franchise

Nobody could have predicted The Rock’s return as Hobbs after he declared his dissatisfaction with the franchise and his feud with Vin Diesel. While his cameo is relegated to a post-credits scene, it does mark Dwayne Johnson’s return to the franchise and could foreshadow big things for future Fast and Furious films. While no one considers these films to have witty plots, they are quite enjoyable to watch as dumb popcorn flix, which is why fans are excited about The Rock’s return.

This is all because of Jason Momoa’s character Dante, who wants vengeance on everyone involved in his father’s death, including Hobbs. The Rock and Vin Diesel’s feud sparked a lot of controversy, eventually leading to them shooting every scene separately. This also resulted in Dwayne getting his own spin-off F9, while Vin Diesel was nowhere to be found.

Dwayne Johnson was preoccupied with Black Adam.

Dwayne Johnson’s return to the Fast and Furious franchise is primarily motivated by the fate of Black Adam. After all, there were supposed to be sequels and spin-offs for the DC film. However, it is clear that it will not happen after the release of Black Adam, and James Gun has cancelled all future plans involving Dwayne’s character.

And, while Dwayne has had a lot of success as an actor, it has recently been declining, despite the fact that he is one of the most popular actors right now. So it makes sense for his career for him to rejoin the Fast and Furious franchise. Whatever critics say about the actions that defy gravity or the plot of these films, no one can deny that they are extremely profitable. And, given the number of big-name actors who have returned to the Fast and Furious franchise, we could be in for a franchise finale that finally brings together all of the major characters played by The Rock, Gal Gadot, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, and Brie Larson.
